小学校写给爸妈的信（9月5日）

Dear Mummy and Daddy,

Wwe started on a new theme this month called “Books alive”. We had a discussion in class and decided on 3 stories that Ms. Angela would read to us throughout the month. They were Cinderella, Snow White and the seven dwarfs and Little Red Riding Hood. Of these 3 stories, we were going to choose 1 of them and eventually, do something special! J After Ms. Angela had finished reading all 3 stories to us, we decided to choose Cinderella.

Of all 3 the stories read, I guessed Snow White and the seven dwarfs left quite an impression on us because for the whole afternoon, Sean and Owen had been reciting “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall” while Vera knew of the story pretty well!

Lately, Ms. Angela had been telling us to go home and bring some books but we seemed to forget. However, Kyna remembered! Special thanks to her that we got the book Little Red Riding Hood; Giselle brought the Chinese version while Amanda brought more books to share!

As this month was also the month on books, you are most welcome to bring story books to school to share with us, however, do label the books and drop a note in my notebook to state that they were for sharing! You are most welcome to read a book to us if you could. It would be nice if you could drop by during lunch time and perhaps read to us! J

Math this week was more on revision on numbers 1-4, the 5 different shapes, colours and 3 basic shape labels. While some of us were still confused, most of us were able to catch up.

Project this week was sticking of number stickers on hopscotch which we coloured previously. Dai Lao Shi even made a party mask with us!

That’s all we had for this week! Oh yes!

***We’re going to Botanic Garden on 9th Sept 2008. Please be sure to bring a bottle with strap and dress me in yellow top with appropriate footwear!***

亲爱的爸爸、妈妈：

你们好！

时间过的真快，转眼间又到了我们聊天的时间。在做完运动与游戏后，我们这个月又进入了以读故事书为主的主题。老师列出了一些系列的故事书，供我们选择。经过老师和我们一起讨论研究、充分发挥了我们的自主能力，我们选择了我们喜欢的故事系列童话故事。

我们确定这个系列后。老师带领我们走进了童话世界。在童话世界里，我们选择了《灰姑娘》、《白雪公主》、《小红帽》。首先老师带领我们观看童话CD《灰姑娘》后，又利用迪斯尼童话系列故事书详细讲解了灰姑娘这本经典故事。还讲了迪斯尼童话系列《白雪公主》、《小红帽》。

我们利用恐龙玩具玩了配对的游戏，在玩游戏的同时我们加深和巩固对颜色的认识。通过游戏老师还充分发挥我们自己的观察能、语言表达能力，我们还作了开舞会的面具的手工。

亲爱的爸爸、妈妈如果你们有时间请来学校给我们讲故事吧！爸爸、妈妈就聊到这里，下次再接着聊。
