小学校给爸妈的信(3月18日)

Dear Mummy and Daddy,

This week, we had our first outing as a class! And boy, were we happy! All of my friends went to the park and we did lots of things like drawing, playing ball on the field where some of my friends fell and had picnic lunch! Thank God for the wonderful weather too.

For English this week, we learnt a new letter “i” where “i” was for iceberg, ice skates, ice cream, island and insects. We also learnt the phonic sound of “i” Story for the week was “Rosie’s really a country dog”. Rosie was a dog brought back home by Mrs. Mack who saw it on the streets. Soon, Rosie began to create mischief around the house and shortly, the Mack family sent Rosie to the farm to stay with Uncle Neil. The Mack family visited Rosie on the farm during holidays and they still loved him as much.

Theme talk this week was still about the healthy diet pyramid but this time round, it was about the 2 bottom sectors; where we had fruits and vegetable for the second last sector and rice, pasta, spaghetti for the last sector. Fruits and vegetables were good for us as they gave us energy, helped our bowel movement and also healed cut and wounds! Did you know that we have our favourite vegetable too? Like Vera, she liked broccoli very much. Whereas for the last sector, we had our rice, spaghetti, pasta, noodles and bread. They were called staple food and it, too, provided us with energy and filled up our stomach.

For craft this week, we did pasta collage, vegetable printing, chalk drawing on wet paper and for cookery, we did jell-o! The jell-o were sent back home and we were told to share it with you. It was the first food that we made and I was sure it was yummy right?

补充说明:哇,成功囖!但是妈咪很想哭,
她看了小学校的信才知道那一盒
红色软绵绵的东西是我亲手做的果冻,
但是她打开来闻了一闻,就丢进垃圾袋里头了。
没吃到,呜……

For math this week, we did some interesting stuffs. First, we did AB patterning on our own with examples from Ms. Angela and most of us could do it well and good. We also played shapes game where Ms. Angela used masking tape to make a big square and the round ball pool for circle. Firstly, we would walk, run, jump, hop around the shapes and when Ms. Angela shouts for square or circle, we were then suppose to either jump in the ball pool or stand on the square! It was fun and we were able to get it right! It was fun jumping all over the place.

That’s all the fun we had this week. Till then, take care!

Hugs and kisses,
