小学校写给爸妈的英文信(7月5日)

Dear Mummy and Daddy,
This week, we had loads of fun which included outings, birthday celebration and a school event which we would fill you with in a while.

First off, it was Amanda’s birthday on the 3rd of July and she was dressed as a pretty Cinderella! She celebrated her birthday before nap and we had a yummy slice of princess ice cream cake for desert!

Next, it was the outing to Murmur’s playground at the museum! We sure had lots of fun jumping into the ball pool and running in and out of the mini maze. Not forgetting, we did some drawing there too! As the weather wasn’t too good that day, we had to forgo our Fort Canning Park trip.

We had our monthly affair, One minute of fame @ DEL-care, and we did something very different this round. We were asked to build something out from the toys we had. And these were what we made. Overall, Ms. Angela was pretty impressed with our imaginations and creations and she was pretty amazed with Asher’s dragonfly!

As part of the lesson, we went to Subway at Amara shopping centre for a visit. It wasn’t too far a walk there and the staffs there were quite helpful! We learnt about ordering sandwiches over the counter and saw the numerous varieties they had.

And as for cookery, we made our own sandwich! We had either rectangular or triangular bread to choose from, lettuce and either egg mayo or tuna filling. Most of us took the Tuna and we finished them up pretty fast! We finished our vegetables but Cheeky Vivian threw her piece of lettuce on the floor! Other project for the week includes tearing of paper, which some of us would need more practise in and colouring of letter “a”.

From now on, we would be revising on each letter of the alphabets again so that we could be familiar with them. You could help me in this area at home, too!For stories this week, we had “Captain Pike looks after the baby” and “Brown paper bear”.

“Captain Pike looks after the baby” was a story of a captain who took his baby on board the ship as his wife was too busy. As he ain’t sure about looking after the baby, he got his crew to help. But, none of them onboard knew what to do. Just then, he met his enemy who actually helped look after the baby and they became friends.

“Brown paper bear” was a story about a girl, Jess, who stayed at her grandpa house and was bored so she fell asleep fast. Just then, the door creaked open and she found a bear wrapped in brown paper. The bear then spoke to her and they went to visit other toys. They had fun together and soon it was time to head home. Just when she woke up, grandpa saw the teddy and it was the exact same one he played with while he was small! That’s all the fun I had for this week. Looking forward to more things next week! Meanwhile, take care! Oh yes, our visit next week would include the clinic and pharmacy. Stay tune!

Hugs and kisses,
Funasaurus
